Disneyland, 4th of July, Airshow, Oregon

Welcome to July!  We have made it half way through the year now.

July 2

In the back of the van stretching as we take the long drive to California to go to Disneyland!

Our room had bunk beds.  Shailee slept on top and Aiden slept on bottom.  They had so much fun playing on them!

We went to Downtown Disney and visited the LEGO store.  That store is awesome!

July 3

We went to California Adventure this day.  They had free face painting going on.  So we stood in line so the kids could get their faces painted.  Well Aiden didn't want anything to do with that, so we opted to just do it on his arm..well, as you can tell he wasn't a big fan of that either.

Shailee was so excited to get her face painted, she wanted a full face paint job and got Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Our very own Gamora!

Here's Aiden's Avengers tattoo!

Somehow Wes tricked Shailee into going on Guardians of the Galaxy.  She's been on Tower of Terror and hated it, but somehow Wes tricked her into thinking it was a completely different ride...she didn't go again. LOL

We met Doc McStuffins...that was as close as Aiden would get.

Aiden loves these beads in Cars Land.  So much fun with these.

Waiting in line for the Cars ride.

You can barely see Shailee, but this is one of her favorite rides to go on.

We got to see Cruz.

While we were waiting for a parade to start, we saw a family of ducks!  Aiden was very interested in them and was pretty sad when they left.

All tuckered out as the rest of us sit down to have a bite to eat!

July 4

We spent the 4th of July in Disneyland.  So much fun.  These are some pictures that we got taken!  Happy 4th everyone!

I just love these two so much!

You can kind of see baby #3 making it's appearance here.

We saw Mary Poppins and Bart.

Aiden did not want to meet them, so he's hiding.  Bart was very friendly and gave me a compliment on my hair haha.

Waiting to meet Chewie!

Looking at Chewie.  I love these pictures they get, every once in a while we get a good one where we can see the magic through our children's eyes!

So fun seeing Chewie!

On the merry go round.

Trying to pull the sword out of the stone.  We had no luck.

Shailee got to meet Moana!

July 5

Course we had to go see Buzz!

Not entirely sure which ride this is, but Wes and Aiden went on ride while Shailee and I went to meet Princess Elena of Avalor.

Meeting Elena.

We went and saw Pluto too.

Aiden's favorite ride...he loves Mater's Tractors.

Shailee and Wes on Cars again.  I wish I could have gone, but baby in my tummy suggests I don't.

We went on Pirates of the Caribbean lots of times.  It's one we can all enjoy, including this pregnant mama.

Meeting Lightning McQueen.

July 6

We went through the fairy garden and ended up at Tinker Bell's house, so we had to meet her too!

A view I will never ever get tired of seeing.

Waiting in line for the Buzz LightYear ride.

Waiting for the fireworks to start.  We are in front of It's a Small World ride.  We found it has better viewing and you can see things better.  They project images on the front of the ride and you can watch those as well as the fireworks.  Shailee is sitting on the ground with a friend she made in line.

July 7

Walking around the wilderness trail they have, Aiden spotted Chip and Dale.

I love how he hugs these characters.  So sweet and so cute!

Donald and Daisy Duck

Goofy

That is the hand of Groot.

We all love Groot, but Aiden was slightly intimidated by him.

"I am Groot!"

Aiden and I riding on the dancing cars.  One of the rides I can go on.

Of course, we had to go see Mater!

Dad and Shailee riding the Cars ride again.

We all got to meet Cruz!

Waiting in line for Mater's Tractors.  So much fun! This was our last day in Disneyland this trip.  We got up the following morning and headed back home.

July 8

I always joke with Wes about stopping in Baker, California.  This time he actually did.  It didn't help that I had to go to the bathroom and this was the most convenient place to stop.  Holy cow it was hot!!  The thermostat in the background reads 111!

While we were in California, poor Aiden got some goopy eyes with lots of crusties.  We aren't sure what it was.  We suspect that it was sunscreen and crying and rubbing all mixed together.

Poor kid, we felt so bad for him.  If he was sleeping, he couldn't open his eyes when it was time to wake up.  We had to get a warm cloth and put it on his eyes till he could open them.  But he was a trooper and still tried to have a good time!

July 13

Here's a picture of our little blueberry!  It's getting bigger.

July 19

Took the kids to the Discovery Museum.  Aiden is in the construction zone building things.

The water table is always a favorite.

July 20
Went to Idaho and got to see one of my best friends, Samantha and her sweet new baby, Millie!  Bennett had to be in the picture too.

July 21

Shailee exercising on Nana's Total Gym!

Of course, Aiden had to have a turn too!

July 22

We went to the Blue Angels air show in Idaho Falls.  As we walked in, they had a lot of sports and fancy cars for people to look at.  We saw Lightning McQueen!

We waited a long time, in the heat for the main part of the show to start.  It was so dang hot, and they had these stupid rules.  Only 20 oz of water per person, no camel backs or coolers.  We couldn't even bring in our own snacks!  It was stupid.  We had a camel back with ice and water and had to run it back to the van, because we couldn't take it in.  Needless to say, we ran out of water before the thing was through.  They didn't have any ATM's around and we only brought so much cash.  We spent most of it on lunch and had a little left for water.  Oh, and they didn't have anywhere to fill up empty water bottles either.  We had a good time, but wish they would have allowed more water in or at least have an ATM somewhere, or better yet, places to fill up water.

Papa gave Aiden a shoulder ride.  I used to get these from my dad all the time when I was younger.  Fun to see my kids get to enjoy it with their Papa too!

July 24

Went to In-N-Out for lunch on this day.  We got hats!

July 28

Time for Shailee to get a hair cut.  Her hair is so long, and the ends just needed cleaned up.

So much better!

That's all her hair they cut off.

Later that day, we traveled to Boise.  We went swimming and the baby is starting to show more and more.

July 29

We finished our trip this day to Oregon.  We made a pit stop and enjoyed the waterfalls they had.  It is called Bridal Veil Falls.  It was really pretty!

We also stopped at VooDoo Doughnuts.  So good.  I recommend it.

July 30

Swimming in the heated outdoor pool that our hotel had.  The kids loved it and could have spent every single day, all day in the pool if we had let them.

Went to the clubhouse to play some ping pong and they had a little outdoor play area for the kids to play on and around.

July 31

We went to the beach this day.  I tell you what, it was not warm haha.  Before going down to the beach, as we were waiting for everyone to get there, we let the kids play on the playground.

Going down the double slide, making it a race with cousin Titus and Wade standing at the bottom.

He loved climbing up the curved bars.  He needed a little help around the corner, but was so proud of himself!

Playing on the beach,

Us moms didn't really do much except sit on the blankets and try to stay warm as the kids played in the sand.

Ended up having to take his pants off, they were getting too much sand.

Trying to stay warm, and keep the sand from blowing in my face.  It was a windy day!
