Catching Up Post 5 of 5

NOVEMBER 2013
Well here we are, the last post to being caught up...except December, and that will be a whole story/post by itself, maybe even two. :)

Shailee loves to watch cartoons in this section of our couch.  It sits by itself and is just a corner piece in front of the TV...perfect for little bodies!  One of her favorite things to watch is a show called Small Potatoes.  They just do little 2-3 minute long songs, and it keeps Shailee very entertained!

Shailee had another play date with her friend Brennen on November 7.  Here they are playing outside on our trampoline.

The night of November 7, we took Shailee down to SLC to the Energy Solutions Center (this is where the Jazz play) to see Disney on Ice.

She was so interested in the characters skating on the ice, and loved the music!  Several times she would dance with her hands, name the characters, and squeal in excitement.

This was her reaction when Mickey and Minnie went behind the curtain...she was so sad anytime any of the characters left, but she quickly was happy when some others showed up.

Peter Pan and his shadow.

The Little Mermaid cast.

Pointing at a character she recognized.

During intermission.

The kids flying from Peter Pan.

Captain Hook and his pirate crew.

On November 8, while helping mom with errands, Shailee had to show off her cool sunglasses!

The night of November 8, we went up to Rexburg to spend some time with Wes's parents.  Shailee is hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa on the couch and watching Grandpa play on his tablet.  Wes is watching football, I think.

We had a little time, and visited Nana and Papa Sunday afternoon.  Shailee likes to tinker on the piano, and Nana is helping her.

That afternoon, Shailee got to play on Grandma and Grandpa's neighbors play equipment.  Shailee loves to slide, and here Grandma is helping her go down.

Shailee on the swing while cousin Vinny goes down the slide.  Her cousin Titus was outside playing too, but he was on a swing to the left of Shailee so we don't see him.  We did get a video of the three of them tho.

On November 12, Shailee and I went to a local park and played on the playground.  It was a nice warm day, so we wanted to enjoy it while it lasted.  This day, she decided to go down the slide all by herself!  What a big milestone for her!  She loved it, and entertained herself on this slide, and even ventured over to the bigger slide and went down that one all by herself too!  So proud of her and her big accomplishment!

On November 15, Shailee experienced her first airplane ride!  She did so good, and didn't get fussy once!  Here we are, waiting for them to de-ice the plane and take off.  She is eating fruit snacks!  We were on our way to Arizona.  A cousin of mine was getting married and we decided to go down.  My parents went down, 3aunts and 2 uncles, some cousins, and my grandma.  It was a fun trip, and the weather was so warm!  We loved it.  A week before my birthday, we were outside swimming in a pool...never thought that would ever happen!

We bought her a seat, even tho she ended up sitting on one of our laps the entire time, but for a little bit she sat in her chair.  She thought the seat belt was pretty cool and it entertained her for a while.

On the temple grounds, they had orange trees.  Nana is showing Shailee the oranges.

Waiting for the happy couple to come out of the temple, Wes took Shailee for a stroll and snapped this adorable picture of our cute bug!

Doesn't Wes look hot and sexy with my purse?

The happy couple.  Congrats Chalae and Jason!

Chalae and Jason's reception was held on Jason's grandpa's property.  Here is a shot Wes got the morning of while he was helping set up tables and chairs.

Another shot of the property after the tables and chairs were set up.  Love the clouds and the little bit of blue sky peeking through!

At the reception, they had a pole in the center with lights draping off of it.  So cool!

Shailee and dad out on the dance floor breaking some moves!  Shailee enjoyed it so much, that she said her first sentence of "Daddy, I dance!"

There were cotton fields all over the place and this field was just outside the vacation house we rented for the weekend.

This is the playhouse in the backyard of the house.  You could walk inside, and it had stairs to go up to the second level.  It had electricity and was even hooked up for air conditioning!  Wow!  The playhouse was a big hit!

The view from our room.  We had the master room and the balcony.  That is the pool we got to swim and play in.

This was the room we got to sleep in.  The bed was so comfortable!

Ever wanted to stick your kid in the closet and shut the door?  Haha!  This is where Shailee slept.  The closet was a big walk in closet, with a light in there and also a plug in (so we could plug her night light in).  It was nice to be able to stick her in there and be able to come in the room without her knowing it.

My dad, Shailee and I went for a walk one day and found a little park.  So, they stopped and let Shailee play.  Here she is, going down the slide all by herself again.  She was showing off for Papa!

Wes and I dropped my parents off at the airport, they flew out a day before we did.  Shailee didn't make it to the airport, and didn't get to say bye to Nana and Papa (but that is ok, it saved us from her having a meltdown when they left).  She was so tired...she was going on two days of no naps.  Poor bug, so we drove around for about an hour to an hour and a half so that she could have somewhat of a nap.

Coming home on November 18.  We were able to see the Grand Canyon from our window.  So cool!

On November 20, Shailee said "I love you!" and now says it all the time.  When she said it, it melted my heart!  So cute! and I love it!

On November 22, I was able to get Shailee's hair in a ponytail.  Course, it didn't last through her nap...but the fact that I was able to get it done was quite the accomplishment! :)

That day was also my birthday!  I turned 27.  Shailee and dad went to Rumbi Island to get me a chicken rice bowl for my birthday dinner!

I was able to curl my hair, and it stayed in and looked really good!

Wes bought me these beautiful flowers for my birthday!

That night, my parents came up and Wes and I were able to go to a movie!  We went and saw The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  So good!  I loved it!  The theatre had these awesome recliner chairs to watch the movie!  So comfy and for the price of a regular theatre movie (~$9.00)!  It was awesome!

The chairs...in every theatre and the the entire theatre here in Layton!

The next day, November 23, we all went up to Logan.  There was a football game that Wes wanted to go to, and my dad wanted to go the Harely Davidson shop.  So we all went and while Wes was at the game, me, my parents, and Shailee went shopping.  This is in a kitchen store they have there.  Shailee found this little cart, and when I saw her find it, she had the biggest smile of accomplishment and amazement on her face!  She was so excited and stuck Teddy in there and pushed it around the entire place.  She was entertained for a long time.

She found some candy and started piling it in the cart.  It was so cute!

Pushing her treats and Teddy around!  She didn't want to leave and was upset when we walked out without the cart!  Little does she know, but my parents bought her a cart from there...it is exactly like this one, so now she will have a cart of her own to push around our house.  I fear that my cubbards and drawers will be emptied daily after Christmas.

On my birthday, Shailee started to get a little sick.  A week later and she still wasn't better.  She is feeling pretty sorry for herself here with dad.

Mom and Shailee hanging out on mom and dad's bed.  She was on the mend here, but still not better yet.

For Thanksgiving, we went up to Idaho.  We had a small gathering at my grandma Hanson's house.  This is a silo in her field behind her backyard.  I grew up playing around these things and probably even that one.

A cool tractor, and an old fashioned one at that!

The barn in her backyard.

Shailee and dad had a little nap on the floor.  It was too cute and sweet to not take a picture of.

We had a little mini photo shoot in my Grandma's backyard.  We took these pictures for our Christmas cards this year.

The neighbors had some chickens and a rooster.  Shailee was very interested in them and ventured over the to check them out.

Then they wandered back over to Grandma Hanson's yard, following Shailee.

This was seconds before the rooster tried to attack Shailee.  Luckily it didn't get her, but she was pretty scared after that.  Those dang roosters can be mean!

One of the carnations from my birthday flowers bloomed.  It was the only pink one in the middle of a bunch of red ones.  I really liked it, because it was white/light pink with a darker pink around the edges.  So pretty!  Well, that sums up the month of November!  December will be big, so it might be in two posts.  So stay tuned for that!  Hopefully next year, starting in January, I can be better about keeping it updated.  We will see tho haha!
