First Half of July

Here is what has happened so far in July

This year we went up to Idaho for the 4th of July Weekend.  Wes's brother Tyson had the 4th off for the first time in a long time, so we decided to do a little family reunion while celebrating the 4th.  Here we are at the parade.  Look at the cute face!  Bows in Shailee's hair are all thanks to Wes's cousin's wife Lucy!

Rexburg's parade had not one...

not two...

but three camels in their parade this year!  The third one is a baby.  It was actually kind of cute haha.

A Blue Angel's jet.  It didn't have an engine, and I think I overheard that it was one of the original jets.  It was kind of cool to see it, seeing as we just saw an airshow with jets kind of similar to this.

This was my view of my little girl for most of the parade.  She loves her nana and papa and spent the majority of the time with them, and they were nice enough to stand up with her for it.

I didn't get pictures, but she did go and sit with Grandma and Grandpa who were behind us.

She also loves her Grandma and Grandpa!

Family picture on the 4th.  Aiden is in there a little bit too.  Haha.

Me and my best friend!  I sure love him!  We had a wonderful 4th.  After the parade, we went out Wes's parents for the traditional BBQ.  Wes and I made homemade rootbeer and it was a big hit.  Yes, the 4th and the rest of the weekend for lunch and dinner were cheat meals for me haha.  That night, we  started a fire in the backyard, and roasted hot dogs, and of course smores.  We then moved to the front yard/street for some fireworks.  It was so fun!  She sat on Grandma's lap and for the first part hid her eyes from the fireworks, but eventually she thought they were the greatest things and actually laughed everytime one went off.  She now loves fireworks, and asks for them frequently.

The following day, July 5, a few members of the family, ok, everyone except me and Tyson, we for a family 5K run around the neighborhood.  I don't know the times, but Wes and Kevin were the first ones back, followed by Sarah and Jamie.  Wes and Sarah went and got the kids and strollers from the walkers, and shortly after Troy, Suzanne and Sarah's mom came strolling back.  Then we had lunch and some of the kids took naps.  After naps, we went swimming up to Green Canyon!  Love that place.  Came home, had dinner, played some fun Minute-to-win-it Games (should have gotten pictures) and headed to bed.  In between dinner and the games, we gave Shailee and Titus a cousin bath.  I know Titus has had baths with his brother before, but this was Shailee's first time with someone in the bath with her.  She handled it better than we thought.

We did family pictures while we were up there.  This one was taken on George's phone, but we will have more professional and better looking ones soon, thanks to Jamie.  She is so talented, I only wish I could be as talented as her with the camera!
Back row: Me, Troy, Sharlene, Jamie
Middle row: Wes, Shailee, Suzanne, Wade, Kevin
Bottom row: Tyson, Vinny, Titus, Sarah

We had a wonderful time!  Shailee did too, and really opened up to everyone.  She always talks about her cousins, (names them all off) and her aunts and uncles (also names them) and of course Grandma and Papa and that they are all coming to Shailee's house.  Thanks for a wonderful 4th and family reunion while we were up there.  We love you all!

That sums us all up and I have officially caught up.  I will try and do better at updating, but once little Aiden is here, it may be even farer and fewer in between posts lol.  Till then, take care, and love to all!

June Update

Here is June's Update

June 1
Shailee was worn out from our fun and busy weekend up in Idaho.  We were thankful for her to fall asleep and sleep 2 out of the 3 hours home!

I told you this girl loves her stickers.

While we were up in Idaho, our roses bloomed,  Sure do love seeing some pretty flowers in our backyard.

"Mom, CHEESE!"  She really wanted her picture taken.  So I snapped this one of my sweet bug!

June 3rd Wes got Shailee's early Christmas present set up in the backyard.  I have yet to get pictures of her on it...but she loves the swings!  Sometimes she'll do the slide, but most of the time is still unsure of it, even though we all know she can do it.

June 4
She found her princess crown and I guess had to put it on at bedtime this night.  She was so proud to have put it on, and let dad get pictures of her before putting her to bed.

The next day, she just had to show me, and went and got her princess crown.  Can't you just see how happy and proud of herself she is?  Ah!  Sometimes I can't get enough of her.  I sure do love this bug of ours!

June 6 was another My Gym day.  She was a busy little girl this day, and had lots of fun.

"Mom, I hold your hand!"

More stickers.

Later that day, we went to SLC to pick up Wes from work and go to Hogle Zoo.  They have a new attraction they just finished building (took a couple of years to build it) and we wanted to go check it out.  Shailee liked sitting on the lion statue.

Crawling through the log next to the otters.

Every other Friday, Wes gets to come with us to Shailee's gym because he has it off.  June 13 was just one of those Fridays.  Shailee loves when dad comes, because he can run around with her and do more activities with her than I can at this point.

They always have some sort of fun activity(ies) going on for the little ones to participate in.  This one, they had trucks bungee corded to a board and that board was hanging on some ropes that they have anchored in the ceiling.  It went forward and backward like a swing.  She was okay with it as long as dad was there and no other kid was in front of her haha.

On June 20, we went shopping at the local Smith's grocery store.  They have these little kid shopping carts, and so we grabbed one for Shailee.  She is so proud of herself!

These two pictures were taken on June 26.  She had a big snarl in her hair after bath time.  Wes had her sit on his lap while he combed it out and Tiger decided he wanted in Wes's lap too.  Well, Shailee was there, so he settled for half Wes and half Shailee.  Shailee was sure happy that he came and laid down there.  She loves our cats, and they are good to put up with her and can actually be affectionate towards her too.

June 28-29, Hill Airforce Base put on an airshow that was free to the public.  So we took the opportunity to go and watch.  We ran into Wes's sister Jamie, and her husband Kevin and their sweet little boy Wade.  I'm terrible at picture taking (I have a goal to become better haha).  So above is Shailee and Wes, it was really sunny, and then below is me and my big belly.  Enjoy the pictures of the show.

Shailee was too focused and distracted by some airplanes in the truck haha.

This was the second day of the airshow, but we just watched it from our front porch after church.  Sure love these two and am so blessed to have them in my life!

Back up a little bit here.  These was Father's Day Weekend.  It was also a get together of my mom's "kids" for the last time for a while.  My "brother" Ben and his wife Natalie and their cute little boy Elijah are moving to Chicago for a job Ben had just accepted.  So we got family pictures while we were there.
No rows here so here it goes: Shailee, Wes, me, Ben, Natalie, Elijah, my dad Tony and my mom Rita, Ethan, Regency, Greg and Skylar.

Just us on Father's Day.  Shailee and I got Wes some much needed shorts, a new white church shirt, a tie, and a new work shirt.  I hope he had a great Father's Day!  Shailee and I love you Wes and are so blessed to have you as a father and husband in our lives.
