August Update

As we finish July we move into August.  That's just the way the calendar works every year.  On August 2nd, two of my best friends, Ila Busch and Samantha Camp threw me a baby shower at my parents house.  I had so much fun seeing everyone there, and playing lots of fun games!  The chair I am sitting in, my parents got for me to put in Aiden's room or wherever I wanted to.

While at my baby shower, Wes took Shailee out to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  There, she got to play with cousins Vinny and Titus!  Here she is playing with a foam airplane.

Grandma said that she brought out these toys and then Shailee and Vinny instantly switched and were happy as can be!  Shailee with an airplane and Vinny with princesses, haha!

 

On August 15th, Wes celebrated his 31st birthday and we also went to the county fair!  Shailee loved the petting zoo, and feeding the animals carrot pieces.  Just look at the joy on her face!

We got really good seats for the elephant show!  We showed up like a half hour early, but it paid off...we got the benches to sit on and in the shade!  It was so hot that day, and being 8 months pregnant I was really hot!

These are the presents I got at my baby shower in Rexburg.  Thank you to everyone who came and got gifts for our precious little boy!

These are the gifts I got from ladies in my ward from a baby shower my visiting teacher threw me here in Layton.  Again, thank you to all those who came and got gifts for Aiden!

On August 26th, my sister-in-law Jamie Nokelby, took maternity/family pictures for us!  They turned out beautiful and am in love with them!  Shailee had so much fun, we did it at a park so she was able to run around and play a little with dad when we didn't need them for a picture!  Thanks again Jamie, you are so talented and we really appreciate it!

This was also our last weekend as a family of 3!  The next weekend we would be a family of 4! 

The Rest of July

Here is the rest of  July that you have all been waiting anxiously for 5 months!  The above picture was on July 19th.  My parents had come up for the weekend and we decided to take them to the aquarium, since none of had been to the new one yet.  Shailee had so much fun!  These fish were by far her favorite!

We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse Sunday, July 20th before they left.  Shailee insisted on sitting on their horse saddle.  It was so cute!

Shailee sure loves her Nana and Papa!  She had so much fun playing outside with them!  It was a change, because I couldn't do much playing or standing on my feet for too long, being pregnant and all, so to have people that she loved and who would play with her on the tramp and push her in the swings was a real treat for her!

July 24th was Pioneer Day and here in Utah it is a holiday!  So Wes had work off!  That night we went to the firework show in Ogden and Shailee loved it!  We got there with enough time to spare that we were able to stand outside the Rodeo grounds and let Shailee look at the horses, she was in heaven!  We had really good seats for the show too.  We didn't really know where to go for the best seats, so we just stayed by the Rodeo grounds and they ended up being right there!  All we had to do was turn around, set up our chairs and look up!  It was perfect!

On July 30th, Shailee turned 2 1/2 years old! I took the opportunity to take some pictures in the nice warm weather!  She did great, and we got some really good pictures!  She even sat still while I did her hair pretty like "Punzel" (Rapunzel).

This is the picture we used as her official 2 1/2 year picture and framed it and put it on the wall!  We love you Shailee!  Stay tuned for more posts to come!
