Thanksgiving, 10 Months, and More

This is a bit of a catch up post, as I finally got pictures uploaded from Thanksgiving, Shailee turning 10 months old and just a little randomness.  For Thanksgiving, we went up to Idaho and had dinner with the Williams.  We had fun, and dinner was  delicious!  After dinner, Jamie, Suzanne, and I mad Christmas Tree Stars out of paper.  It was so fun.  Sorry, I don't have a picture of it on here, but just know it was fun and turned out amazing!  Thanks for showing us how Jamie! :)

Shailee walking around with dad, showing off her Thanksgiving Turkey Dress, and her bib that says "My First Thanksgiving".

She loved walking around, and anyone who would walk with her was her best friend!

After dinner, and making the ornament, my parents took Wes and I out to a movie.  It was my birthday, and this was pretty much all we could do on Thanksgiving.  We went and saw Brave.  I really liked it.  I told Wes, if it was made 2 years ago I never would have cried.  You know you are a mom when you cry in cartoon movies.  Haha, but it was really good.  I may have to go buy the movie so Shailee can watch it when she is a little older.

These are Shailee's Thanksgiving pajamas.  It says "Mommy's Little Turkey", which she is.

Love the turkey butt!  It's my favorite part of her pajama's.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, I went and got my hair done.  I haven't had it colored since Shailee was born, so I was past due.  Wes let me get it done, since it was my birthday and had been so long since I got it done.

Back before.

Side before.

Back after.

Side after.

My dog Oreo and I.  She stays with my parents now, but I miss her lots.  Shailee really likes Oreo too.  Oreo is the only one who can get Shailee to laugh hysterically!  It kind of makes me jealous, but we enjoy watching these two together.

On November 30, Shailee officially turned 10 months old.  She is growing up so fast, and we love her so much!

Sorry this picture is sideways, for some reason, it won't let me turn it.  So this is what is says.
  • Loves to walk around with the help of furniture, walls, mom & dad
  • Loves to crawl wherever she wants
  • Loves to eat bananas
  • Loves the "Old McDonald" song
  • Loves to click her tongue
  • Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse/Mickey
  • Loves buttons
  • Loves giving slobbery wet kisses
  • Hates being put in her carseat
  • Hates white potates
  • Milestones this month:
    • Getting 1st top tooth 11-29-2012 (top right)
    • Starting to appreciate snuggle time
    • Recognizing grandparents, so seeing them isn't so scary now.

Shailee really moves around the house, and goes wherever she wants.  This picture was so sweet.  Muse is outside in the box, and Shailee and Kansas are looking out at her. :)

Shailee has some magnents on the dishwasher in the kitchen.  Several times a day I hear her in there playing with them.  Kansas even likes to join in on the fun, and hides some of the letters under the fridge and stove.  We have to constantly dig them out so Shailee has some to play with still haha.

Happy baby!  You are growing up way too fast, but mom and dad are excited for you to be walking on your own.  We think?

One night, while doing laundry, Kansas decided she wanted to jump into the dryer.  Even after putting wet clothes in there she still sat in there.  Weird kitty.  Don't worry, I took her out before shutting the door and starting the dryer haha.

Here are some updated family pictures of us.  We took these and put them on our Christmas card.  So if you get a card, you will see these pictures again.  We did these ourselves by turning a timer on the camera and picking out the best ones!

I just love this picture!  Shailee really loves her daddy, and each day when he walks in the door she squeals in delight!  She knows how to melt her parents hearts for sure!

This last weekend, my parents came up for a quick visit. We went to Temple Square, but me being me, I forgot my camera so we have no pictures from that. After seeing the lights, we went out to Olive Garden for dinner. It snowed that day, and so coming home the roads were a little slick. The next day, my mom and I went to go to JoAnn's. On the way, we heard this funny noise, and we thought it was just some ice rubbing on the tire. Well, after a while, it was still making that noise, and I got to thinking it wasn't just ice but the tire itself. We stopped at a stop light, and then when we started going again, the car was kind of shaking. Luckily there was a gas station right there. We pull into there so we can look at the tire and put some air in it. Nope, we couldn't put air in it because it was flat, and we had been driving on the rim for a little while and it had put some holes in it so we had to get a brand new tire. Wes came and saved us by putting on the donought tire so we could drive over to Walmart (who was the only place open on Sunday) and get a new tire. While changing the tire, we found this large "thumb tak" nail or something in it. No idea where we picked it up, but there it ws. Thanks again mom and dad for coming up and making this trip a very memorable one. Shailee loves you guys lots, and cried when you shut the door. She had a lot of fun with you and I know she will be excited to see you guys in two weeks! We are too, so don't forget about us! :)

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!  Stay tuned for Shailee's 11 Month post, as well as our Christmas vacation post in just a few short weeks.  Till then, take care and be safe during your festivites! :)

Shailee Lynn Is Now...

9 Months Old

This little beauty is 9 months old now!  It's hard to believe that we have had her for as long as I was pregnant with her.  We just love her so much, and can't imagine our lives without her!  Little Shai Bug, mom and dad love you and are excited to continue to watch you grow. :)
Here are her stats for this month:
  • 19.10 lbs (75%)
  • 29 inches long (90%)
  • 18 head circumference (90%)

I just love her BLUE eyes!

My mom went to Hawaii a little while ago and bought Shailee this cute dress.  We dressed her up in it for church.  So cute!  You can't see them, but it came with matching bloomers!

We now have a mobile baby.  The day before she officially turned 9 months old, she crawled out of the blue.  These next pictures show her mobility! :)

This was on Halloween.  She's not in her costume, but I did dress her in the traditional Halloween colors.  It was hard to get her to hold still long enough for me to snap this picture of her.

In case you can't read this, it says:
  • Loves to stand
  • Loves veggies-squash is her favorite
  • Loves saying "dada"
  • Loves standing on her own (with help of furniture)
  • Loves Mr. Ducky and DJ (Ducky Junior)
  • Loves to mimic mom and dad with the sound of "hey"
  • Loves puffs and yogurt bites
  • MILESTONES: crawled 10-29 and loves to practice! :)
  • Hates being sat down
  • Hates white potatoes
  • Hatew when car or stroller stops moving
  • Hate being sat down at Sear for pictures

Here is our little Lady Bug in her Halloween costume!  She was so cute in this.  This picture was taken at Sears, so I must give credit to them!

Just before bed.  I had to get pictures in her halloween pajama's.  She is holding a pumpkin ring that her daddy brought home for her from work.  She loves it, and plays with it while being changed.

Cute little pumpkin feet!

My first Halloween!

What a cute little pumpkin baby!

Well that about sums it up.  Shailee has now been crawling for a week and she is better than the beginning.  She can also now pull herself up on pretty much any furniture of her choice.  She likes to be on the floor and moving where she wants when she wants, but still gets tired of doing it herself if there too long.  We love our little bug so much!  We will see you all soon!

Recent News

Hello fellow readers!  This past weekend, September 18-21, we went up to Rexburg for a fun little trip! :)  Weston's brother, Tyson and his wife Sarah, had their second baby Thursday, so we went up to see them and the rest of the family.

Pround new parents, Tyson and Sarah, with baby Titus!

I'd say they did a pretty good job!!

It's a bit colder in Rexburg then it is in Salt Lake, and all the leaves had already fallen off the trees!  We decided to take advantage of the pretty leaves on the ground, and some pumpkins we bought while up there.  I'd had been wanting to take pictures of Shailee with some pumpkins, but never was convienent till then.  We had fun in Grandma's backyard and took a few pictures.  These are the results.  :)

I had to get a close up! I just love her little smile!

If you make this picture big, you can see her two little teeth on the bottom.  So cute, I love them!

That is all for now.  I hope everyone has a good day!

Finally Caught Up...Picture Overload!

While backing up our picture files, I ran across some picutres that I never shared here or wrote much on if at all.  So, we are reminiscing a little bit today, and then, once this post is done we will be all caught up.  We will be taking a small trip down memory lane, bear with me, and if you just want to skip to the end, I don't blame you.

WARNING: Lots and lots of pictures!

TONY's GROVE, LOGAN:

Wes's parents came up the first week of October last year.  We were still in school.  I was also about 5 months pregnant here.  We all decided to go on a small hike up in Logan's Canyon to a place called Tony Grove.

Suzanne, Troy, and I.

Just a pretty view.  We had lots of these, so it was hard to choose just one to share with you.

The best in-laws anyone could ask for! :)

Sorry this is a little out of order.  About a week before Troy and Suzanne came up, my parents came up for a visit as well.  This is my parents and I on another little hike up in Logan's Canyon,

CALIFORNIA 2011: Last August, we took a trip to California with Wes's family.
We spent one day in Universial Studios Hollywood.  This was such a fun, yet interesting trip haha!

Here is Tyson, Sarah, and their son Vinny.

He thought he was pretty cool in uncle Wes's shades!

This picture was on a ride we went on.  It was a tour of Universal Studios where they do a lot of TV filiming and what not.  This one is of a town.

Desperate Housewives.

Another shot of a town.

Whoville from Dr. Suess's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"

They had several cars from lots of movies.  Here is one of them.

Wes wanted a picture with Homer, but the line was super long, so he just walked behind him and had me snap a picture with him in it.

More of the tour ride we went on.  This was where they may shoot a western movie.

Jurasic Park.

We went to Water World and this was the shark they caught haha.  This was outside of the arena area.

We also spent a day at the San Diego Zoo.  This was a momma Hippo and her baby Hippo.  They were so cute!

These two gorillas were cute too!  Momma and baby snuggling.

A panda eating some bamboo.

Us posing in front of a gorilla statue.
Tiger sleeping oh so comfortable.

Another panda.

They had a little aviary you could walk through where they had some birds (obviously haha) but you could feed them sugar water or something like that.  It was pretty cool!

Wes had never seen a bird of paradise flower before...so we had to take a picture to document that.

This was the end result of having to walk through the zoo all day and being 3 months pregnant.  My ankle swoll up pretty good.  It took a good 2 days for the swelling to come down.

We spent another day at an aqarium.  I think this was by far my favorite place we went to this trip.

Me with a giant crab.

We spent two seperate days at two different beaches.  Here is one (I believe we were at Hunington Beach).

This is Wes.  I can't remember what they called this kind of surfing, but you run and jump on a board and see how long you can stay on.  Wes was pretty darn good!  It was all his long boarding skills coming in.  This was also the 2nd beach we went to.  I don't know the name of it, but it was somewhere by San Diego.

We took a day and drove through Hollywood.  This was one of the pictures Wes snapped!

One night, we went to Medieval Times, and it was so fun!  Our color was yellow, but I can't remember who won.  I don't think we did tho haha.
Family photo at Medieval Times.

Grandma and Vinny.
Here we are waiting for the men to fill up water bottles.  We had missed our flight and had to rent a 12 passenger van and drive through the night to get home the next day.  What a great bonding expeirence!  Keep in mind I was 3 months pregnant, and had to constantly ask the driver to stop at the next available rest area haha.  Thanks again for putting up with constant stopping!

WES'S BIRTHDAY:

I decorated the door and apartment before Wes got home from work on his birthday as a little surprise for him.  Although he decided to come home a half hour earlier than I expected and he walked in on me blowing up balloons.  His punishment was that he had to help me finish blowing up the balloons and decorating haha.

Shailee and dad amidst the decor.

The door and our light.

Our ceiling light.

The 'Happy Birthday' banner.

I made Wes a 'Better than Sex' cake for his birthday.  Here, we are singing Happy Birthday!

Wes showing Shailee a balloon.  She was interested in them!

We had to get a picture of Shailee in Wes's birthday hat.  So cute!

Shailee was entertained here for a good 20 minutes of just looking at herself in the mirror.

Wes reading a book to Shailee.  She like to look at the pictures.

Playing in her activity chair!

Baby's 1st Summer!

Wes and I made a lot of crock pot meals one weekend.  He had chopped everything up and seperated them into their own containers for me, so all I had to do was place them in their appropriate bags and place them in the freezer.

Kansas and Muse snuggling and sleeping in the sun.  Both of them love to do this on a daily basis.

We have built these shelves for the cats to use and play on or sleep on.  This was the first time they really seemed interested in them.

We have a picture like this of Muse too...just thought it was funny we have similar pictures of both cats.

The next three pictures are of the sunset we witnessed one day driving back home from Idaho.  This was the driver's side of the sky view.

Here is the passenger side's view.

And the front.

We also saw this beautiful sunset from our porch one evening.

Grandma and Grandpa McCulloch bought Shailee a brand new highchair to have here at our house.  Thanks again!  She loves it, and stays entertained here while mom or dad are making her dinner.

I just love this picture of her, I took it from up above her.

Sitting on her own.

Yesterday (September 21) we went for a drive to a resivour and decided to take some family pictures.  We had it set on a timer, so we got several pictures, that we could choose the best shots!

Wes and Shailee.

We gave Shailee a leaf, and she was so excited with it!

A waterfall we saw on our way home.  This was so cool to see!

"Give me the camera mom!"  She wanted the camera so badly.

Another family pic.

Pretty colors!
