A few weeks ago, on March 20, Shailee and I decided to enjoy the nice warm weather and go down to Hogle Zoo. She loves going and seeing the animals, walking around, and of course riding the carousel. After we finished at the zoo, we went and picked Wes up from work.
She was so excited to see these tigers, and was evcn more excited when she figured out that she could touch them and sit on them.
Here she is, riding on the carousel.
She insisted on sitting on the elephants trunk before we left. I could not walk past it without her begging to go over to it. She was so proud of herself!
The following weekend, March 28, we bought a van. I kept having this overwhelming feeling that we needed a bigger vehicle before or when this baby is born. So, we did it! I love it! Never in a million years did I think I would want a van, let alone be happy with one, but that's how the story goes I guess.
On April 12, we took a little family hike. There is a trail head really close to where we live, so we drove up to it and set off! It was a beautiful day and hike, and we all enjoyed it! Shailee was really good, and did lots of walking on her own.
She had to pick flowers with dad on the way back, and had lots of fun doing so.
We made her a tiny bouquet of flowers and she carried them all the way back to the car, and then all the way home.
The baby bump finally made its appearance, though, I think I look fat haha. Here, I am 19 weeks along. This Tuesday I will be at the halfway point in this pregnancy!
On Tuesday nights, Wes gets together with some members of our ward to play volleyball. Usually we are at our church, but the last few times it has been in our stake center. At the stake center, they have a stage in the gym, complete with toys...so Shailee is very entertained by that and watching dad as well. Sorry for the blurriness, but this was such a cute picture.
She went and sat at the end of the stage and watched them play for quite a while. This is the first time she has ever done this, and it was too cute to not take a picture of.
On Thursday, the 17, we went to the library for story time. She actually ventured off my lap and sat in front of me to listen to the story.
Don't mind the blurriness in this picture and the next. She was having such a good time, and was moving lots, so this was the best I could do haha.
She made a little friend for a few minutes. Not sure what they were talking about, but it must have been important haha.
On Saturday, the 19, we had our own little Easter egg hunt in our backyard for Shailee. She had lots of fun, and found them all. Not that they were hard to find in the first place, we made sure she could spot them instantly. At one point, Wes would throw some out of the basket and Shailee would notice "more" eggs in the lawn and go gather them, as Wes threw a few more the other direction. It was comical, and she didn't catch on until a while later.
This was Easter Sunday. What a cute little bunny we have!
She got some PJ's in her basket...
mini squish water balls...
the movie Tangled (she call Rapunzel, Punzel...so cute!)...
these bunny ears, and the flower lei...
bubbles, and not pictured, she got a package of dum dum suckers and a stuffed bunny that she loves!
We decided to enjoy our afternoon down at Temple Square and be outside in the nice weather and enjoy the flowers. We all had an enjoyable time!
Our little cheeser haha!
Not sure what she is saying here, but it's such a cute picture!
She enjoyed playing in all the water falls, and this reflection pond they have in the front of the temple.
Well, that sums up the end of our March and our April including Easter! Sometimes, I can stay on top of keeping this blog updated for the most part. Hope you all enjoyed and stay tuned for next month where we will reveal gender of baby #2! Till then, take care!
