ONE YEAR
The weekend before our anniversary, Wes and I came down to Salt Lake to celebrate. We stayed in a hotel for two nights. One night, we went and ate at Benhi Hanna's! So yummy, but oh so expensive. Totally worth it tho! :) We also went to Lagoon. Sorry no pictures of that here.
SURPRISE
Shortly after our anniversary trip, Wes and I found out I was pregnant. These are only 3 of the 6 tests I took. I had to be sure that they weren't a fluke and that I really truly was pregnant, haha. We told family and friends on Father's Day last year.
This is me at 8 weeks preggo. As you can tell, I am already showing a little bit. :)
Here I am at 11 weeks.
Here are our ultrasound pictures of baby at 12 weeks gestational age. Baby measured good, and was super active! We were more than excited after this appointment, and being able to see our little bug for the first time! :)
The result of one of my ankles swelling after walking on it all day in the San Diego Zoo. It was swollen so big, it looked as tho I might have broken my ankle. The swelling eventually went down, but it took a couple of days.
This is me at 24 weeks. Baby has really made me pop out there!
These ultrasounds are of baby at 23 weeks gestational age. This appointment we found out if it was a boy or girl. Wes and I were so certain that it would be a boy. We were surprised, and super excited when we found out that baby was a....GIRL! We couldn't wait to meet our little bug.
Here I am at 26 weeks along.
This is me the night before I was induced. I was 38 weeks along. The doctor wanted to induce me because I was having high blood pressure. It wasn't doing any harm to the baby, but he decided to take me early before it did. On top of the high blood pressure, I was on bed rest for about 2 months, and I also had gestational diabetes. So I was more than ready to have this baby. Best of all, there was no surprise as to when she would be here, it was scheduled! Here is a quick recap on my birth story:
10:40 AM- check in to the hospital
~11:00AM- got to room, got dressed.
- Dr. show up and breaks my water
- IV gets placed in arm
-at this point I am dialated to about 3 cm and efaced about 50%
~12:00 PM- started pitocin
-had time to a crossword puzzle and play some Dr. Mario with Wes
~1:00 PM- started feeling contractions, but not too bad yet
~2:30 PM- contractions coming, very painful
-asked for epidural
~3:00 PM- nurse came to test clotting for epidural
- clotting time limit is 10 minutes---I went to 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I almost didn't get it, but I did.
~3:15 PM- anethesiologist came to administer the epidural.
- felt MUCH better!
~4:00 PM- nurse checked me--dialated to 5 cm
~4:30 PM- nurse emptied my bladder
~4:45 PM- I felt like I needed to have a bowel movement. After some debate about what to do, Wes called the nurse in to ask. She came in to check me and I was fully dilated and the baby h ad dropped. Nurse said it was time to push!
~5:00 PM- started pushing. Each contraction, I pushed three times, 10 seconds each push.
~6:00 PM- Dr. finally shows up. Took one look and said, "I better get dressed!"
6:19 PM- Shailee was born! She got her shoulders out and started screaming!
Here is little miss Shailee Lynn Williams. Just born. She was born on January 30, 2012. She was 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 inches long! Welcome to the world Shai bug!
I love this picture. This was after they had cleaned her up, and we were having a special mother daughter eye conversation! :) I was so happy, and couldn't have been happier.
This is her first bath, and unfortunately this is still her reaction to baths haha.
Such a proud daddy!!
This is the first smile we caught on camera. She's about 2 in a half months her I think.
Chilling in her bumbo. I love this picture of her!
Happy St. Patricks Day! Almost 3 months old.

Mom and Shai bug chilling while dad is at work.
This particular bath, we could keep her calm, as long as daddy's finger was in her mouth haha.
Shailee's first Valentine's Day. About 1 month old here.
Shailee's blessing dress that my mom made! Shailee did amazing, and didn't cry at all.

We took a trip to Seattle when Shailee was about 2 months old. She is sleeping, and we're walking around Seattle. We went up for Ben and Natalie's wedding.
Easter happened to be when we were traveling home from Seattle. This cute little onsie grandma McCulloch bought her. We took Easter pictures when we got home.

Our little Aggie! She's so cute!

This picture is for all her Aunts! Brynlee, Jamie, and Sarah! She truly has the best aunt's any little bug could ask for. And for all the "aunts" Ila, Monica, and Samantha!
TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Wes and I recently celebrated our two year anniversary. A lady in our ward volunteered to watch Shailee for us while we went and had dinner. It was nice to get out on a date without the little bug. We went to Texas Roadhouse. There, Wes surprised me with tickets to WICKED! I'm so excited. We go in July, so I will have to write about that after we go!
That was a quick recap on what we've been up to. Hope you all enjoyed, and I will try to keep you all updated a little bit better now.
